Caroline - Care Support Worker - Cherryaide

Working at Cherrybrook Medical Centre my key role is to identify carers and to give help and support in many ways. My day to day work includes completing carers assessments, allowances, equipment requirements, organising domiciliary care and providing emotional support. I am heavily involved in the Torquay and Paignton Carer Support groups organising monthly meetings where speakers and outings are regular events.

Carers Discount Card

The Carers Register are launching a Carers Discount Card on the Tuesday 5th September at Paignton Zoo. Carers will enjoy discounts on a range of local services including pharmacies, car hire, hairdressing, complementary therapies, bookshop, key cutting and college courses. This scheme will be simple to use. Carers will use their Emergency Response Card as the Discount Card so hopefully more carers will join the register
